When my children started their journey at Montessori on Edgewood, they needed quite a bit of support to complete their daily classroom tasks. The staff willingly provided the required support and suggested additional resources that could be useful to them. All the teachers are truly amazing. They provide updates on your children's progress, as well as pictures and videos showing the kids participating in fun and age-appropriate activities. However, I want to make special mention of Ms. Edna; she is extremely nurturing, kind and engaging. She is certainly a model teacher as she cares deeply about all the children under her care. She exposed my son to different languages (Arabic and Spanish) and my son developed a special love for her.
Another reason I love Montessori on Edgewood is because they introduced my children to nutritious foods like vegetables, and healthy alternative to snacks such as veggie sticks. This caused me to develop healthier eating habits for my children at home.

When our eldest daughter began attending Montessori on Edgewood in 2020, our family was new to New Haven, new to daycare, and anxious about the Covid-19 pandemic. The teachers and administrators at MSOE quickly made us all feel at ease and able to work without worry. Since then, we have welcomed another child into the family (the MSOE team were as excited for us as we were!). Our daughters have been truly loved and cared for. MSOE has helped to expand their environment and language during a foundational period in their lives; we are continuously delighted by the new skills and experiences they bring home. Every day they attend MSOE, they are happy and safe. We are very grateful to Cecile and her team.

MSOE was the first place I let go and let my child explore who they are. The structure and teaching style is what attracted us to the school. However, what we ended up seeing is that the heart of the school are the teachers and staff that show up everyday for the children. To whom it may concern,
Over the past six years I have had the most wonderful experiences watching three of my babies learn, grow, and thrive while attending The Montessori School on Edgewood.
I truly cannot say enough good things about this very special School. The facility is clean, safe, and has fenced outdoor play spaces. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided and nutritious. The staff are Montessori trained, experienced, professional educators. The children, staff, and families are a vibrant community.
While the pandemic briefly closed its doors, M.S.O.E. improved and reopened better than ever. The addition of the Procare app has given parents an even closer look into their children's day at School. I am always amazed by the amount of activities that are packed into a single day. I also am always delighted to view photos taken by their teachers.
Best of all is the warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment that the teachers create for their students. When I drop my children off in the morning I know that I am leaving them in the best place they could possibly be. I never worry while my children are under the care of M.S.O.E.
It is my opinion that Montessori School on Edgewood provides the best childcare and early childhood learning in the city of New Haven.

I absolutely love MSOE. Montessori have given me the flexibility to work outside of the home and peace of mind while doing so. My kids are confident and thriving socially, emotionally and academically. I’ve seen them expand their critical thinking and embraced their problem solving skills. Another plus is the family-like feel I get from all staff. My kids are sure to see familiar faces everyday and it helps with their sense of security. Thank you so much to all the staff at MSOE!
