Testing
TEACHERS ARE TESTED EVERY TWO WEEKS
- If a teacher is exposed they are required to quarantine for 10 days and can only return to campus with 2 negative tests
- If a teacher tests positive, they must take 14 days off and can only return with a COVID-19 test and a doctors note
- Both the New Haven and Connecticut Department of Health are promptly notified of any positive tests
Symptoms
IF A TEACHER COMPLAINS OF SYMPTOMS, THEY ARE ADMINISTERED A RAPID TEST ON CAMPUS
If negative, the teacher is double tested at a local testing center
If positive, the teacher is double tested at a local testing center, the parents (of the children that are in the classroom of the teacher) are notified to immediately pick up their child
Teachers who test positive must quarantine for 10 days, return with a doctor’s note and a negative test result
